Thorndike's Law of Learning in short
1. Law of readiness It refers to the intensity or degree of preparedness and eagerness to learn. Individuals learn the best when they are ready to learn. a) Physical readiness -- learners must be physically well and healthy. There shouldn't be any physical barrier in the learner like body pain, hunger, thirst etc. Even the setting where the learners are learning should be fair enough in terms of temperature and quietness etc. b) Cognitive readiness --learners must be ready cognitively. The target task of learning shouldn't be beyond their cognitive ability. Communicative input must be considered while the teaching-learning process. c) Social readiness -- learners should be appreciated while learning. There shouldn't be any obstruction or barrier while learning.
